Peer-Review Model
Saudi Journal of Critical Care and General Medicine (SJCCGM) uses a double-blind peer-review model.
- Process: Each submission is initially screened by the editorial office for fit with the journal’s scope, ethical compliance, and basic methodological quality.
- External review: Suitable manuscripts are sent to at least two independent expert reviewers. Reviewer and author identities are concealed from each other to reduce bias.
- Editorial decision: The Editor-in-Chief or a designated Associate Editor makes the decision (accept, minor/major revision, reject) based on reviewer reports and editorial standards.
- Integrity standards: The journal follows established best practices for peer review, including conflict-of-interest management, confidentiality, and plagiarism checks prior to acceptance.
