Article Types

A) Original Articles (all study designs)

We welcome all rigorous original research designs relevant to critical care and general/internal medicine, including (but not limited to):

  • Randomized and non-randomized clinical trials
  • Cohort, case-control, cross-sectional studies
  • Diagnostic accuracy studies
  • Prognostic/prediction model studies (with validation where appropriate)
  • Quality improvement / implementation studies (with clear methodology and outcomes)
  • Qualitative and mixed-methods studies
  • Health services/outcomes research

B) Review Articles

  • Systematic review and meta-analysis
  • Scoping review
  • Evidence-based narrative/clinical review (with transparent search/selection approach)

C) Case Reports

Educationally valuable, novel, or practice-informing cases.

D) Case Series

Multiple related cases with a clear clinical question, consistent reporting, and meaningful insights.

(Editorials/Commentaries/Letters may be considered by invitation or at editorial discretion if relevant to published content.)
